Sr. Platform Engineer – Kubernetes

About This Opportunity

Our talent team is representing a confidential cybersecurity organization that operates cloud infrastructure at exceptional scale. This is a senior-level platform engineering role focused on Kubernetes, observability tooling, and multi-cloud operations. We are seeking candidates who thrive in high-reliability environments and have deep experience managing container orchestration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable hybrid multi-cloud Kubernetes platform solutions using cloud-native infrastructure architecture
• Optimize and maintain high reliability of large-scale infrastructure platform systems processing massive event volumes
• Evaluate and integrate open-source technologies into existing system workflows
• Provide technical direction for the continued evolution of Kubernetes infrastructure services
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers to drive collaborative technical decision-making
• Participate in on-call rotation to ensure platform availability

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (requires U.S. citizenship or Green Card/permanent resident status)
• 5+ years of Kubernetes experience including management of clusters with thousands of nodes
• Strong hands-on experience with Prometheus, Thanos, and Alertmanager
• Proficiency in Golang
• Experience with large-scale, business-critical Linux environments
• Demonstrated experience operating in AWS, GCP, and OCI cloud platforms
• Experience operating in custom data centers
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance workflows and drive efficiency

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience writing Kubernetes operators
• Proven ability to work effectively with distributed and remote teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering

This role will require periodic background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements.
