About This Opportunity
Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a national advocacy organization in their search for Development Associates to join a structured fundraising training program. This is a remote, part-time position running through February 2027, designed for candidates who want to build a career in political fundraising while supporting a mission-driven organization.
This is a hands-on role where you'll be on the front lines of donor outreach, relationship-building, and revenue generation. You'll receive direct training and mentorship while contributing to real fundraising outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Schedule meetings with major donors by conducting outreach primarily via phone, with follow-up through text and email
- Research donor prospects to identify high-capacity individuals and prepare detailed research reports
- Conduct stewardship calls with donors to express appreciation for recent contributions and engage in discovery conversations with new supporters
- Solicit donations directly from assigned donor lists with professional follow-up
- Document all outreach activity thoroughly in CRM systems with precision and consistency
- Complete assigned training materials, reading assignments, and actively apply feedback to improve performance
What We're Looking For
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to track calls, emails, texts, and notes accurately
- Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking on the phone with new contacts
- Alignment with principles of individual liberty and constitutional values
- Detail-oriented with ability to conduct research and summarize findings clearly
- Professional, respectful, and tactful in all donor communications
- Comfortable using Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and willing to learn CRM systems

- Coachable, growth-oriented, and eager to develop fundraising and donor communication skills

Compensation: $16.50 per hour or applicable state/local minimum wage, whichever is higher
