Zonal Claims Executive

AIG seeks a detail-oriented Zonal Claims Executive to manage and resolve insurance claims across our Chicago operations. This full-time, on-site position offers the opportunity to directly impact customer satisfaction while handling complex claims for one of the nation's leading insurance organizations.

Role Overview

As a Zonal Claims Executive at AIG, you'll take ownership of claims processing, investigation, and resolution within your assigned territory. You'll work directly with claimants, adjusters, and internal teams to ensure every claim is handled with accuracy, sensitivity, and efficiency. This role combines analytical problem-solving with customer-focused communication, requiring someone who can navigate complex policies while maintaining the highest service standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Review, assess, and process insurance claims according to policy terms and regulatory requirements
• Conduct or coordinate claim investigations to determine liability and coverage eligibility
• Communicate with claimants to gather necessary documentation and provide updates throughout the claims process
• Collaborate with claims adjusters, legal teams, and other departments to resolve disputed or complex claims
• Maintain detailed claim records and ensure all documentation meets AIG's quality and compliance standards
• Identify trends, inconsistencies, or potential fraud indicators and escalate appropriately
• Meet service-level agreements and processing timelines for assigned claims

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
• 1–3 years of claims handling, customer service, or related insurance experience
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, coverage terms, and claims procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously and prioritize effectively
• Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive customer interactions with empathy
