Product Owner (Truss Software)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential manufacturing technology organization in their search for a Product Owner to lead product execution within an Agile software development environment. This role serves as the critical bridge between business strategy and technical delivery, ensuring that product roadmaps translate into valuable solutions for end users in the component manufacturing industry.

As Product Owner, you'll own the execution of product roadmaps for specific focus areas, working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Engineering, UX/UI Design, QA, and Support. You'll apply customer-centric frameworks to identify pain points, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality releases that meet both business objectives and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Execute product roadmaps established by Product Managers, translating strategic direction into actionable development plans
• Manage sprint planning, backlog prioritization, and release scope in partnership with Development Managers
• Create and maintain clear user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria
• Apply customer-focused innovation frameworks to identify and prioritize user pain points
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
• Collaborate daily with Engineering, QA, Development, and UI/UX Design teams
• Ensure delivered features meet acceptance criteria and customer expectations through UAT and beta trials
• Develop subject matter expertise in component manufacturing workflows and software tools
• Communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders through regular presentations
• Coordinate with support and implementation teams to ensure successful product releases
• Advocate for customer needs within development teams while maintaining transparency into sprint outcomes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Marketing, or related discipline (MBA is a plus)
• 4+ years of experience as a Product Owner or similar role working with development teams
• Proven experience leading software product development in Agile environments using Scrum or SAFe frameworks
• Software product strategy and management experience with demonstrated value delivery
• Experience with complex customer environments and/or relevant industry experience
• Strong team and project management skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to translate user needs into technical requirements
• Business acumen to make sound decisions balancing market, customer, and organizational needs
• Self-motivated and energetic, capable of working autonomously and collaboratively
• Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) preferred
• Willingness to travel up to 25%
