Senior Category Manager, Home EU

About This Opportunity

We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer retail brand in their search for a Senior Category Manager, Home EU based in London. Our client operates in the e-commerce space, delivering high-quality essential products across apparel, accessories, and home goods to millions of customers.

This role owns end-to-end product strategy for designated Home categories in the EU market, with full accountability for assortment planning, product launches, revenue performance, margins, and long-term category growth. You'll be instrumental in scaling a compelling product offering that balances customer delight with strong commercial results.

Responsibilities

• Own complete product strategy and assortment for designated Home categories in the EU, including category roadmap, assortment architecture, launch calendars, and performance optimization
• Serve as category expert, setting long-term strategic direction and potentially building department infrastructure with senior oversight
• Partner with Marketing teams to develop and execute go-to-market strategies for your categories across EU markets
• Collaborate with Supply Chain and Sourcing partners to maximize category margins while maintaining quality standards
• Drive data-informed decision-making using sales velocity, margin analysis, return rates, and other key performance metrics
• Work cross-functionally with Design, Creative, Planning, and Marketing to ensure products meet brand standards, maintain in-stock positions, and drive traffic to priority items
• Lead quality improvement initiatives based on customer ratings, reviews, and return rate analysis
• Support vendor development efforts to expand and diversify the supply base with best-in-class manufacturing partners
• Identify assortment gaps and refine product roadmaps based on evolving market insights and performance learnings
• Develop site merchandising strategy, including product detail page enhancements and navigation/filter optimizations

What We're Looking For

• 8-10 years of retail merchandising or buying experience specifically in home categories, with demonstrated ownership of category P&L and performance
• E-commerce and/or direct-to-consumer experience strongly preferred
• Proven track record of career progression with increasing scope and responsibility
• Product-obsessed mindset with strong analytical capabilities and experience using data tools and market research
• Critical eye for anticipating customer needs, balancing both analytical rigor and creative merchandising instincts
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused, with ability to build scalable processes and drive cross-functional alignment
• Continuous learner who is curious, open to new perspectives, and agile when adapting to changing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
• Thrives in fast-paced collaborative environments where flexibility and cross-functional partnership are essential
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• This role is based in London with a requirement to work in-office Monday through Thursday (4 days per week)

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: £80,000—£100,000 GBP base salary, depending on experience. Bonus and equity may also be provided for eligible candidates.
