Lead / Senior Manager Fiber Customer Activation and Service provisioning (m/w/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential telecommunications infrastructure client in their search for a Lead/Senior Manager to build and direct fiber customer activation and service provisioning operations. This is a greenfield leadership role where you'll establish a new department responsible for connecting customers in newly constructed FTTH deployment areas.

This position is based in Düsseldorf with remote work options available.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new Fiber Customer Activation and Service Provisioning department from the ground up
• Manage field technicians and coordinate customer activation activities including in-home cabling installations
• Collaborate with network engineering teams to ensure prioritized network buildout through single-line processes and network densification
• Develop lean, efficient reporting processes that enable real-time tracking of all customer interactions
• Drive continuous team development and process optimization while managing day-to-day operations
• Oversee troubleshooting and service restoration for fiber customers

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience in fiber optic network deployment, specifically in customer activation and fault resolution
• University degree in technical or business field, or alternatively vocational training in telecommunications (fixed-line technical)
• Extensive experience with infrastructure projects or comparable FTTX rollouts
• Demonstrated success managing and coordinating telecommunications projects with strong project management capabilities
• Excellent German and English language skills
• Strong analytical thinking and communication abilities
• Valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel within the deployment region and to Düsseldorf
• Leadership experience building and developing technical teams
