About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization at an inflection point in their growth. Our client has spent years building a financial operating system that consolidates disconnected tools for service-based businesses, and they're now expanding their platform capabilities across receivables, payables, and analytics. This is a chance to join a fast-growing team solving real problems for real customers.

We're seeking a Senior Product Manager to own a full product area end to end. This isn't a role where problems are handed to you—you'll generate the problem set yourself from data, customer conversations, support volume, and competitive movement. You'll sequence it, defend it in writing, and own the full customer experience around every launch.

This is a hybrid role based in New York for candidates eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Define success metrics and guardrail metrics before work begins, and defend why those metrics are the right choice
  • Prioritize the product roadmap and descope work that isn't earning its place, including work already in flight
  • Own the full customer experience around every launch: enablement, support load, pricing implications, and rollout—not just the ship date
  • Write PRDs and technical artifacts clear enough that engineering can build without follow-up meetings
  • Engage on system design docs, work directly with engineering on tradeoffs, and use AI coding tools as part of your day-to-day workflow
  • Operate within and help shape a standardized PM structure so discovery, prioritization, and documentation work consistently across product areas

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • 7+ years of product management experience with proven ability to generate problem sets from ambiguity, not just execute handed-down roadmaps
  • Structured problem-solving: you find the problem worth solving and identify the binding constraint
  • Genuine depth in fintech, payments, or another complex domain—you understand why these problems are hard
  • Strong written communication: narratives and PRDs that persuade stakeholders and give engineering clarity
  • Ownership across team boundaries and the ability to resolve cross-functional friction directly
  • Decisiveness under incomplete information: make the call, state the reversal condition, and move forward
  • Coachability: willingness to change your position when evidence calls for it
  • Ability to reach working expertise in unfamiliar domains quickly

Nice to Have:

  • B2B SaaS experience (product-led growth is a bonus)
  • Experience owning a product area while the team was actively standardizing its process
  • Comfort operating without a dedicated design partner on smaller initiatives
  • Comfort in fast-paced, high-impact environments
