Technical Product Manager – AI Neobank

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential fintech organization that is building next-generation financial products across multiple verticals. Our talent team is seeking a Technical Product Manager - AI Neobank to join their distributed team. This is a remote role based in Germany, working with an international team across multiple time zones.

This position owns a complete product vertical from strategy through technical delivery. You'll work on products that move real money—reliability, regulatory compliance, and financial infrastructure are fundamental, not afterthoughts. The organization is AI-native by default, but applies AI strategically where it genuinely improves outcomes while maintaining deterministic control where required.

Responsibilities

• Own a product vertical end-to-end: strategy, metrics, roadmap, priorities, and delivery
• Shape technical design with engineering teams across APIs, data flows, ledgering, reconciliation, failure handling, security, and scalability
• Drive trade-offs across correctness, speed, cost, reliability, regulatory requirements, and user experience
• Build regulatory requirements into products including KYC, transaction monitoring, limits, privacy, and licensing compliance
• Apply AI where it improves outcomes, with clear evaluation frameworks, safeguards, human oversight, and failure handling
• Ship products around external dependencies including regulatory approvals, financial rails, and third-party partners
• Align cross-functional teams—Engineering, Design, Compliance, Operations, Treasury, and Finance—around clear product decisions and launch requirements

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of product management experience with ownership of complex technical products from strategy through production
• Strong technical foundation across system architecture, APIs, databases, workflows, failure modes, and distributed systems
• Experience working closely with engineers with ability to review, challenge, and contribute to technical designs
• Experience in payments, banking, remittance, insurance, trading, or another regulated, high-consequence product domain
• Strong product judgment and ability to make difficult trade-offs under technical, regulatory, and operational constraints
• Experience building with LLMs or AI products, including evaluation, reliability, and understanding when AI should not be used
• Strong English communication skills for working across international teams

Nice to have:

• Engineering or highly technical product background
• Experience building zero-to-one fintech or consumer products
• Experience defining evaluation frameworks for ML or LLM-powered products
