Director, Product Management

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential financial data and intelligence organization in their search for a Director, Product Management based in London. This role leads the strategy, roadmap, and evolution of a core stewardship intelligence product serving institutional asset managers, governance professionals, compensation advisers, and corporate issuers.

You will be responsible for:

• Owning and continuously refining the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization for a stewardship intelligence portfolio covering meeting, executive compensation, corporate governance, and proxy-voting data
• Leading, developing, and organizing Product Management and Research teams, establishing clear priorities, effective ways of working (with emphasis on AI integration where possible), and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
• Improving dataset coverage, methodology, quality, traceability, and timeliness through process redesign, automation, and AI-enabled approaches without compromising accuracy or trust
• Partnering closely with Engineering and UX teams to define, build, and launch high-quality product experiences and Data-as-a-Service capabilities
• Building deep understanding of institutional asset managers, stewardship and governance professionals, compensation advisers, and corporate issuers through customer research, market insight, and product data
• Supporting product positioning, packaging, launch readiness, adoption, and ongoing customer value in collaboration with Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success functions

What We're Looking For

Essential requirements:

• Significant experience in Product Management, Research Operations, Data Products, or related disciplines, including proven leadership of teams and strategy-setting for complex products or datasets
• Mandatory domain experience in stewardship, proxy voting, corporate governance, executive compensation, investor relations, or a closely related capital-markets domain, with credibility to engage institutional investors, compensation advisers, governance professionals, and corporate issuers
• Demonstrated success owning and delivering B2B SaaS, data, or intelligence products from customer discovery and strategy through roadmap execution, launch, and ongoing performance improvement
• Proven experience leading research or data operations teams responsible for large-scale structured datasets and enterprise-grade quality standards
• Track record of improving manual, people-intensive processes through operating-model redesign, automation, or AI while maintaining quality, control, and team engagement
• Exceptional communication, analytical judgment, and stakeholder-management skills, with ability to influence senior leaders and work effectively across Product, Engineering, UX, Commercial, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success

Preferred qualifications (we will support development in these areas):

• Experience with Data-as-a-Service, data feeds, data licensing, or other data-product business models
• Hands-on experience applying LLMs, machine learning, or intelligent automation to regulatory filings and unstructured documents
• Familiarity with data provenance, research methodology, quality frameworks, and governance of externally sourced data
• Experience working with or at market-intelligence providers

Pay

Compensation details will be discussed during the screening process and are competitive for a Director-level product leadership role in the London market.
