About the Role
As an OAS Developer at WNS Global Services, you will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Oracle Application Server-based solutions that power critical business processes. Working within a collaborative team, you will translate business requirements into robust, scalable applications while ensuring code quality and system performance across our Hyderabad technology center.
Core Duties
- Develop, code, and debug applications using Oracle Application Server technologies
- Write and optimize SQL and PL/SQL queries for data access layers and stored procedures
- Design and implement application components that integrate seamlessly with Oracle infrastructure
- Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development standards
- Troubleshoot application issues and provide technical support to resolve production incidents
- Collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate requirements into technical solutions
- Participate in deployment planning and execution in coordination with operations teams
Skills & Qualifications
- 4-6 years of professional software development experience, with substantial hands-on work in Oracle Application Server
- Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation, querying, and optimization
- Strong expertise in PL/SQL for building stored procedures, functions, and database objects
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
- Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience)
