Business Analyst

Join Version 1 as a Business Analyst in our Dublin office, supporting public sector and utilities clients across Ireland through strategic consulting work. This is a full-time remote position with the option to work from our Dublin base.

Role Overview

We're seeking a Business Analyst to partner with leading public sector and utilities organisations, translating complex business challenges into effective technology solutions. You'll bridge the gap between stakeholder needs and technical implementation, shaping how organisations serve their communities and manage critical infrastructure.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Collaborate with clients in the public sector and utilities to understand business objectives and identify improvement opportunities
• Gather, analyse, and document functional and technical requirements through stakeholder engagement
• Model processes and systems to surface inefficiencies and design optimised workflows
• Develop clear specifications and recommendations that guide development and implementation teams
• Support solution delivery by liaising between business stakeholders and technical resources
• Track project progress and communicate status updates to clients and internal teams

Requirements

• Proven experience in business analysis or a similar analytical role
• Strong ability to gather information, ask incisive questions, and synthesise complex information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
• Competence in requirements analysis, process mapping, and solution design
• Experience with public sector or utilities environments is highly valued
• Comfortable working in consulting, managing multiple client relationships
