About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential managed services provider supporting enterprise clients across the United Kingdom. Our talent team is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to join their technical operations. This is a hands-on role combining remote support with regular on-site customer visits across infrastructure, Microsoft platforms, hardware, and security environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers and serve as a primary point of contact for infrastructure matters
  • Attend customer sites to diagnose faults, perform repairs, and execute scheduled maintenance activities
  • Manage support incidents and service requests through ticketing systems
  • Deliver timely customer updates and maintain agreed service-level commitments
  • Escalate critical technical issues to management as appropriate
  • Monitor customer infrastructure and system environments to ensure operational continuity
  • Deploy, test, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware and software across customer estates
  • Document technical work accurately and keep service tickets current
  • Take ownership of urgent incidents requiring remote or on-site intervention
  • Review daily workload and priorities, managing your technical assignments independently

What We're Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience in an IT infrastructure or support engineering role
  • Mandatory: Cyber Essentials and GDPR security implementation experience
  • Mandatory: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 services including Email, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
  • Experience with Intune, RMM platforms, and telephone/communications systems
  • Network infrastructure expertise covering routers, switches, access points, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, and firewalls
  • Proficiency with Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, including Group Policy and security configuration
  • Azure administration and system implementation experience
  • Experience supporting Windows 10, Windows 11, and Mac environments
  • Client build, imaging, and deployment capabilities
  • Strong collaborative skills working with external suppliers and technical service providers
  • Understanding of IT processes, procedures, and industry best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with a customer-service orientation
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with capacity to work independently

Pay

Our client offers £30,000–£40,000 per annum depending on experience, plus 40 days of paid holiday annually. Compensation is paid directly by the employer upon hire.
