Senior Account Director, Media

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global marketing agency seeking a Senior Account Director, Media for their Budapest office. This is a senior client-facing role for professionals with deep paid media expertise who can serve as a strategic partner to major technology clients while driving commercial growth.

You will act as the primary business partner for a large tech client vertical, bridging complex paid media strategies with ambitious growth objectives. This role requires someone who can lead cross-functional teams, own P&L responsibility, and generate strategic ideas that move beyond execution to deliver measurable impact.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary business partner and senior relationship owner for a major technology client account
• Drive 20% year-over-year revenue growth by identifying and developing commercial opportunities across paid media, social organic, and influencer channels
• Lead cross-functional account teams (account management, program delivery, and strategy) as the final decision-maker ensuring client expectations are met
• Own P&L, statements of work, profitability metrics, and commercial governance for the business group
• Challenge both client stakeholders and internal teams with growth-focused strategic recommendations
• Build and maintain trust-based relationships at senior client levels, positioning the agency as an extension of their leadership team rather than a vendor
• Navigate budget shifts, timeline changes, and scope adjustments through confident stakeholder communication

What We're Looking For

• Must-have: Deep expertise in integrated paid media including social advertising, programmatic, and search
• Proven track record managing complex, multi-workstream accounts within a global agency or consultancy environment
• Experience or strong exposure to social organic content strategies and influencer marketing ecosystems
• Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated P&L ownership and revenue growth responsibility
• Confident, outgoing personality with natural relationship-building abilities
• Challenger mindset—comfortable having difficult conversations about budgets, timelines, and expectations
• Ability to orchestrate matrix teams and serve as the strategic anchor across disciplines
• Experience working with technology sector clients preferred
