Join the University of Notre Dame's event services team as a Temporary Event Team Technician in Notre Dame, Indiana. We're seeking a detail-oriented professional to support the technical operations of campus events and conferences.
Role Overview
This temporary, full-time position places you at the heart of our events department, managing technical support and equipment coordination for university-hosted programs, lectures, conferences, and special events. You'll work collaboratively with event planners and campus organizations to ensure all technical elements run smoothly from setup through execution.
What You'll Do
- Set up, test, and break down audio, visual, and technical equipment for campus events
- Troubleshoot technical issues and provide real-time support during event operations
- Coordinate with event planning teams and student organizations to understand technical requirements
- Maintain and inventory event technology and equipment
- Operate and monitor AV systems, microphones, projectors, and related technology during events
- Follow safety protocols and ensure equipment is properly stored and maintained
What You Bring
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education
- Experience with audio, visual, or event production equipment (or demonstrated willingness to learn)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Physical capability to lift, carry, and set up equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work varied event schedules, including evenings and weekends
- Attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
