The Opportunity

This full-time remote position offers the chance to build a growing client base in crop insurance. You'll work independently to expand Trucordia's presence throughout Illinois, serving farmers and agricultural businesses seeking comprehensive crop insurance protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and cultivate relationships with crop producers and agricultural operations seeking crop insurance coverage
• Conduct risk assessments and provide tailored insurance recommendations based on client farming practices and crop types
• Market and place crop insurance policies, managing the complete policy lifecycle from initial consultation through renewal
• Support clients with policy management, coverage questions, and claims coordination
• Stay current with crop insurance products, agricultural trends, and regulatory requirements in Illinois
• Build and maintain a sustainable client base through customer service excellence and professional networking

Qualifications

• Valid insurance agent license or ability to obtain crop insurance licensing in Illinois
• Proven success in agricultural insurance sales or comparable client-facing agricultural business
• Strong understanding of farming operations, crop types, and agricultural risk factors
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly
• Self-directed work ethic and ability to manage client relationships independently
• Familiarity with Illinois agriculture and agricultural insurance markets is a plus
