Accounts Payable Manager

Smiths Group is recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager to join our finance team in Bengaluru, KA, IN. This full-time position, based at our Bengaluru office, offers the opportunity to lead accounts payable operations and drive financial excellence across our organisation.

What This Role Involves

As Accounts Payable Manager at Smiths Group, you'll own our complete accounts payable function—from invoice receipt through payment settlement. You'll manage a critical finance operation that directly impacts cash flow, vendor relationships, and regulatory compliance. This role balances strategic oversight with hands-on involvement in daily processes, requiring both leadership capability and a thorough understanding of AP best practices.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Process, validate, and authorise supplier invoices and payments
• Lead and mentor the accounts payable team
• Reconcile accounts payable records and investigate variances
• Manage the vendor master file and maintain vendor relationships
• Prepare monthly accruals and oversee month-end closing cycles
• Optimise payment schedules to maximise cash flow efficiency
• Handle employee expense reports and reimbursement processing
• Ensure adherence to financial controls and audit compliance requirements

Requirements

• Substantial background in accounts payable or finance operations
• Hands-on expertise in invoice processing and payment procedures
• Proven track record managing and developing finance teams
• Competency with accounting systems and enterprise software
• Strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities
• Working knowledge of Indian accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Professional finance qualification (preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
