About This Opportunity
We are representing a confidential software organization with multiple offices across Germany. Our talent team is seeking an IT Administrator to support their Berlin headquarters. This position is available in either part-time or full-time capacity.
Responsibilities
- Support IT infrastructure for over 130 employees distributed across five German locations
- Manage modern infrastructure including multiple VM clusters (230+ VMs running Windows and Linux) connected to SAN infrastructure
- Plan, provision, operate, and maintain IT infrastructure, services, and systems
- Ensure smooth operation of IT infrastructure and services
- Maintain and ensure IT security across all systems
- Evaluate, configure, and implement system extensions to meet new requirements
- Organize IT procurement, vendor management, and resource allocation
What We're Looking For
- Strong degree in an IT-related field or comparable vocational training
- Professional experience in system and network administration
- Technical expertise in the following areas:
- Windows or Linux Server (Ubuntu)
- Web services (Apache, IIS)
- Mail services (MS Exchange, Postfix)
- IP networking in LAN and WAN, DHCP and DNS
- Network and system management tools (Nagios, SNMP)
- Virtualization platforms (VMware)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
- German language proficiency required for this Berlin-based role
