E – INSPECTOR SENIOR DE MONITOREO AMBIENTAL

SGS is seeking a Senior Environmental Monitoring Inspector to join our operations in Callao, Callao, Peru. In this full-time role, you'll take responsibility for conducting environmental inspections, monitoring activities, and quality assurance initiatives that help organizations meet regulatory requirements and operational standards across Peru's industrial and commercial sectors.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Environmental Monitoring Inspector at SGS, you'll play a critical role in environmental compliance and field testing operations. You'll lead inspection and monitoring activities, assess environmental conditions, and ensure that facilities meet applicable environmental standards. Core Duties

• Conduct comprehensive environmental monitoring and inspection activities at client facilities and field sites
• Evaluate environmental parameters, conditions, and compliance status against regulatory requirements
• Prepare detailed technical inspection reports, findings, and recommendations
• Coordinate and supervise environmental testing and quality assurance activities
• Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities regarding inspection results and compliance matters
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of all monitoring and inspection work performed
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior inspectors and support staff

Skills & Qualifications

• Professional degree in environmental engineering, environmental science, or related discipline
• Minimum 5–7 years of professional experience in environmental monitoring, inspection, or quality assurance
• Strong understanding of Peruvian environmental regulations and compliance frameworks
• Proficiency in environmental testing methods, monitoring equipment, and field procedures
• Excellent technical writing and report preparation abilities
• Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to field sites regularly
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
