Senior Software Security Engineer*

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential software consultancy that delivers tailored digital solutions for enterprise clients. In this Senior Software Security Engineer role, you will:

• Work on consulting and software development projects for major corporate clients across automotive, transportation, media, and financial services sectors
• Conceptualize, develop, and implement software solutions while applying AI methods and tools throughout the development lifecycle, including LLMs, agentic frameworks, code generation, and test automation
• Apply your extensive experience in secure software development, implementing best practices and principles such as NCSC, OWASP, and Mitre frameworks within project contexts
• Build solutions using modern technologies including C#, Java, JavaScript, Spring, and Vue, focusing on areas that align with your strengths while maintaining responsibility for IT security
• Design and build secure cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IONOS) for production applications
• Serve as a trusted technical partner throughout the entire project lifecycle, from acquisition through delivery, while actively sharing knowledge with team members

What We're Looking For

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable technical discipline
• Deep, comprehensive knowledge in software engineering with comfort working across both backend and frontend domains
• Mastery of Secure by Design, Zero Trust, and other IT security principles, with proven success implementing these in complex, demanding projects
• Thorough knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and Mitre CWE Top 25, with demonstrated ability to apply these practices and mitigate corresponding risks
• Experience with DevOps automation and integration of security tools (SAST, SCA, IAST, DAST) into development pipelines
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strong sense of ownership and ability to communicate confidently with diverse stakeholders up to executive level
• Fluent German (minimum C1 level) and very good English (minimum B2)
• Based in or willing to relocate to the Frankfurt am Main area
