Technical Sales Specialist, Proteomics Workflow and Beads

We are representing a confidential life sciences organization seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to drive revenue growth through expert consultation on proteomic workflows and laboratory reagents. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted technical advisor to research laboratories and institutions, translating complex scientific needs into effective solutions. Our talent team is conducting a search for a candidate who can combine deep scientific knowledge with proven sales success.

Responsibilities

• Drive territory revenue growth through technical sales of proteomic workflow solutions and laboratory consumables
• Serve as the primary technical advisor to key accounts, understanding their research objectives and laboratory requirements
• Deliver technical demonstrations, product training, and application support throughout the sales cycle
• Develop and maintain relationships with principal investigators, laboratory managers, and procurement teams
• Collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and technical support teams to execute territory strategies
• Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to inform product positioning
• Manage sales pipeline and forecasting using CRM systems
• Travel approximately 50% within assigned territory to conduct site visits and demonstrations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline (advanced degree preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in technical sales within laboratory products, scientific instrumentation, or life sciences
• Deep technical understanding of proteomics applications, sample preparation workflows, and laboratory methodologies
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas in a territory-based role
• Excellent presentation skills with ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences
• Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and project management capabilities
• Demonstrated relationship-building and negotiation skills in technical sales environments
• Valid driver's license and ability to lift laboratory equipment up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across matrix teams
