Director, Technical Program Management

ServiceNow is hiring a Director of Technical Program Management in San Diego, California, US. This is a remote role within our Product and Engineering organization.

About This Position

We're seeking a Director of Technical Program Management to lead strategic initiatives across our product and engineering teams at ServiceNow. In this director-level position, you'll oversee complex technical programs, drive cross-functional collaboration, and accelerate delivery of high-impact products. You'll work directly with senior leadership to shape the technical direction of critical company initiatives, with full flexibility to work remotely.

Core Duties

• Define and execute comprehensive technical program strategies aligned with business objectives
• Lead program teams through planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical initiatives
• Coordinate dependencies and priorities across multiple engineering and product teams
• Establish program metrics, track progress, and communicate status to executive stakeholders
• Identify risks and opportunities; implement mitigation strategies and process improvements
• Mentor and develop technical program managers and program leads reporting to you
• Drive adoption of technical program management best practices across the organization

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or related technical leadership roles
• 5+ years in a management or director-level position
• Proven track record shipping complex technical programs at scale
• Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and technical architecture
• Exceptional ability to communicate and influence across engineering, product, design, and executive stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with data-driven decision-making capability
• Experience with cloud platforms, SaaS products, or enterprise software preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
