What This Role Involves
As a Relief Security Officer at Securitas, you'll provide flexible security cover across multiple locations throughout Cambridge and the surrounding area. Working on a full-time basis, you'll be part of a skilled team that responds to staffing needs, absences, and peak demand periods, ensuring continuity of security operations for our clients. Your adaptability and professionalism will be key as you move between different assignments and security environments.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site security presence, monitoring, and site control at client locations
- Conduct regular patrols and security checks to prevent unauthorised access
- Monitor access points, log entries and exits, and verify visitor credentials
- Respond promptly to security incidents and escalate concerns appropriately
- Maintain detailed records and incident reports as required
- Build positive relationships with clients and ensure professional conduct at all times
What We're Looking For
- Valid UK Security Industry Authority (SIA) security licence
- Proven experience in security operations or similar protective services
- Strong observation skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly across varying schedules
- Professional demeanour and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a security team
