Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking a Senior Accountant / Bilanzbuchhalter (m/w/d) for their Berlin office. In this role, you will be part of the central accounting team, providing technical leadership to AP/AR accountants while collaborating closely with controlling, treasury, tax advisors, and auditors.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS standards
• Independently managing accounting for multiple entities
• Providing technical leadership and support to AP/AR accountants
• Contributing to group reporting and intercompany reconciliations
• Preparing VAT pre-registrations and other tax filings
• Coordinating and providing technical guidance during annual audits and tax audits
• Supporting the further development of the Oracle NetSuite ERP system
• Analyzing and optimizing accounting processes
• Collaborating closely with controlling, treasury, and operations teams

What We're Looking For

• Successfully completed commercial training with further qualification as Bilanzbuchhalter or equivalent qualification
• At least five years of professional experience in accounting, including several years of independent preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Strong knowledge of HGB and IFRS standards
• Experience working in a group/corporate environment
• Good German and English language skills (minimum B2 level)
• Proficient use of Excel; ERP experience (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics) is advantageous
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
