Security Officer

Securitas is seeking a dedicated Security Officer to join our team in Burton upon Trent, England. This is a full-time role based on-site, providing essential security services to protect assets, personnel, and premises in the Burton upon Trent area.

As a Security Officer with Securitas, you will play a vital role in maintaining site security and safety. You'll be the frontline presence, delivering professional, observant security services that prevent loss, deter unauthorised access, and respond swiftly to incidents. Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas, monitoring for suspicious activity and security breaches
• Manage access control, verifying identification and authorisation for all personnel entering the site
• Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to incidents or alerts
• Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, disturbances, or emergencies
• Maintain detailed written records and incident reports documenting all relevant events
• Enforce site safety policies and procedures to protect people and property
• Communicate effectively with site management, emergency services, and colleagues
• Perform routine security checks of doors, windows, equipment, and access points

Requirements

• Valid SIA Security Industry Authority badge or willingness to obtain one
• Proven experience working in a security role
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliability, integrity, and professional demeanour
• Ability to remain calm and respond effectively under pressure
• Physical fitness and ability to perform routine patrols
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing security requirements
