Technical Manager, Water Infrastructure

Ramboll is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for Water Infrastructure to join our Utica, New York office on a full-time basis. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical initiatives and drive excellence in water engineering and infrastructure development.

What This Role Involves

As a Technical Manager in Water Infrastructure, you will oversee the technical direction and delivery of water-related projects while ensuring quality, compliance, and client satisfaction. You'll bridge engineering expertise with project management, mentoring technical teams and contributing to the strategic growth of our water infrastructure practice in the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the technical execution of water infrastructure projects from conception through completion
• Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams, providing technical guidance and professional development
• Review and approve technical deliverables, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal departments to align project objectives and timelines
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance project delivery and technical quality
• Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in water infrastructure and engineering

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
• Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent qualification
• Substantial professional experience in water infrastructure, wastewater systems, water resources, or related disciplines
• Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering projects of significant scope
• Strong knowledge of water infrastructure design, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software and design tools
