Janitorial Maintenance

About This Position

As a Janitorial Maintenance team member at Pilot Company's Midland, TX operation, you'll be essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our guests and staff. Working in retail operations at our travel center, you'll take pride in the appearance and condition of the facilities you maintain. This role offers the opportunity to work independently while contributing to a team focused on operational excellence.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, common areas, hallways, and customer-facing spaces throughout the facility
• Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and buffing
• Empty and replace trash containers and liners in designated areas
• Restock bathroom supplies and paper products
• Operate standard janitorial equipment, including floor buffers, pressure washers, and vacuum cleaners
• Inspect facilities for maintenance needs and report issues to management
• Follow established cleaning schedules and protocols to maintain cleanliness standards
• Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to health and safety guidelines

Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous janitorial, cleaning, or general maintenance experience
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions
• Comfortable using standard cleaning equipment and chemicals safely
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform lifting up to 50 pounds
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including possible early mornings or evenings
