Brand Designer (Contract)

Our talent team at Get A Job.ai is representing a confidential creative agency that specializes in strategic branding for science and technology organizations. This contract Brand Designer role offers the opportunity to craft compelling visual identity systems for clients working on meaningful innovations in biotechnology, advanced materials, and emerging technologies.

This is a remote, project-based contract position requiring approximately 10-20 hours per week with availability during Eastern Time business hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual foundations and moodboards that translate client insights into visual metaphors and brand narratives
• Create multiple brand exploration directions including logo concepts, typography systems, color palettes, layouts, and graphic elements
• Present visual concepts during client review sessions and incorporate feedback effectively
• Refine selected brand directions into cohesive visual systems with applications across social media, print, and digital touchpoints
• Produce final brand deliverables including comprehensive guidelines, logo files, and graphic assets packaged for handoff to other designers
• Collaborate with creative leadership to ensure brand systems align with strategic positioning

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience designing complete brand identity systems from concept through delivery
• Strong portfolio demonstrating visual conceptualization skills and ability to translate complex ideas into compelling brand narratives
• Expertise in logo design, typography, color theory, layout, and graphic design
• Ability to develop multiple creative directions and iterate based on feedback
• Comfort presenting design work and articulating creative rationale to clients
• Availability for approximately 3 hours of overlap with Eastern Time (typically 12-5pm EST) for meetings
• Self-directed work style suited to asynchronous communication via Slack and Loom
• Experience with scientific, biotech, or deep tech branding is a strong plus
