About the Opportunity
We are representing a confidential cybersecurity software company seeking an Account Executive to join their commercial team in Manchester. This is a full-cycle closing role focused on new-logo business in the mid-market segment, selling directly into CISOs, security engineers, and application security leaders.
You'll be working in a market where brand awareness is still being built, which means your consultative selling skills and ability to articulate product value will be essential. This role offers a clear progression path to Senior Account Executive as your quota attainment, deal complexity, and operational independence grow.
Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle new-logo opportunities from qualified meeting through discovery, demo, and close
- Generate your own pipeline through targeted prospecting alongside SDR-sourced opportunities
- Run structured discovery calls independently, identifying pain points and priorities for technical and executive buyers
- Close mid-market deals with support from sales leadership on more complex procurement cycles
- Maintain accurate weekly pipeline and forecast data, developing strong commit accuracy over time
- Manage handoffs with SDR and Customer Success teams while keeping CRM records clean and current
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years of full-cycle closing experience in B2B SaaS, or a strong track record in an adjacent commercial role (such as SDR) with readiness to step into closing
- Demonstrated quota attainment at or near 100% (approximately £500k–£750k) in at least one of the last two years
- Strong consultative selling approach—you prioritize understanding prospect problems over running scripted pitches
- Comfort prospecting and selling into accounts with limited existing awareness; energized by the challenge of opening new territory
- Visible drive and competitiveness with willingness to tackle unfamiliar deal types or buyer personas
- Natural curiosity about technology products and markets; asking insightful follow-up questions comes easily to you
- Preference for fast-moving environments where new challenges arise regularly and you're expected to own solutions
- Willingness to step outside your comfort zone when deals or buyers present unfamiliar territory
