AI Business Transformation & Design Strategist – 11396

Overview

We are representing a confidential SaaS organization in the United Kingdom that is seeking an AI Business Transformation & Design Strategist. Our client is a global leader in enterprise spend management technology, and they are building a team to help customers reimagine their procurement and finance operations through agentic AI and autonomous intelligence.

This is a senior strategic role where you will guide C-suite executives and functional leaders through AI-first transformations, designing target operating models that leverage autonomous agents to drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Vision Setting & Agentic Strategy: Lead executive workshops to identify high-ROI opportunities for AI agent deployment; design agentic strategies that determine which processes should be fully autonomous versus human-in-the-loop; define future-state KPIs aligned with board-level objectives.
• AI Readiness Assessment: Evaluate customer maturity across culture (willingness to trust agents), data (quality of intelligence layer), and process (workflow compatibility); identify and mitigate internal policy or workforce blockers early in the transformation.
• Change Management & Workforce Evolution: Advise on organizational change including creation of AI Centers of Excellence; guide retraining of staff to manage an "AI workforce"; transform internal governance to enable autonomous agent actions such as automated contract redlining or tail-spend negotiation.
• Cross-Functional Leadership: Act as the tone-setter for technical teams, bridging the gap between long-term transformation goals and product roadmap; collaborate with agentic architects to translate vision into build; ensure clients stay ahead of the innovation curve.
• Executive Impact Delivery: Drive measurable shifts in operational efficiency through high-value agent deployments; produce executive impact reports demonstrating ROI; build strong client advocacy and referenceability.

What We're Looking For

• 10+ years of experience leading large-scale, cross-functional digital transformation initiatives at the enterprise level
• Agentic AI Expertise: Deep understanding of the GenAI and agentic AI landscape including LLMs, RAG, and autonomous agents; you must understand current capabilities and limitations of agents
• Procurement/Finance Domain: Professional fluency in Source-to-Pay (S2P) processes; ability to understand legacy pain points and architect agentic solutions
• Executive Presence: Dual fluency to secure C-suite buy-in on AI vision while collaborating with functional leads to map vision to day-to-day workflows
• Consulting Pedigree: Background in Tier-1 management consulting or leading massive digital transformation projects
• Agent-First Thinking: Ability to envision and design deployment strategies for autonomous agents in enterprise environments
• Experience with enterprise spend management platforms is valued but not required—we prioritize strategic AI transformation expertise
