About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential renewable energy organization seeking an experienced Project Developer to lead wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects across Eastern Germany. In this role, you will manage the complete development lifecycle from initial site identification through permitting and handoff to construction, ensuring projects are economically viable, technically sound, and ready for realization.

You will coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders including landowners, municipalities, authorities, grid operators, consultants, and planners while maintaining strict oversight of timelines, budgets, quality standards, and development milestones.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and secure suitable sites for wind, solar PV, and battery energy storage projects, including feasibility analyses and land acquisition
• Lead project development and optimization, steering permitting and planning procedures while coordinating consultants, planners, authorities, and project partners
• Assess grid connection options, project layouts, and economic viability; manage costs, schedules, risks, and project budgets
• Build and maintain relationships with landowners, municipalities, authorities, grid operators, and business partners
• Prepare projects for financing, marketing, sale, or transition to construction and realization phases
• Coordinate all relevant internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle

What We're Looking For

• Completed degree or comparable qualification in a technical or energy economics field
• Professional experience in renewable energy project development, grid integration, or grid connection planning
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and foundational understanding of grid technical requirements
• Analytical, structured, and self-directed working style
• Excellent communication abilities and strong interface management skills
• Professional-level German language proficiency required
• Advanced English language skills required
