About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential government contracting firm seeking a Staff Auditor to join their federal audit practice. This role offers direct exposure to Federal Government Agency clients and the opportunity to develop technical expertise in federal accounting standards and compliance frameworks.
As part of our client's audit team, you will perform testing, documentation, and analysis to support financial statement audits and internal control assessments for government entities across the United States.
Responsibilities
- Execute audit procedures for Federal Government Agency clients, including testing of financial statements, accounting reports, and internal controls
- Interact with client management to gather information, resolve audit-related issues, and recommend business and process improvements
- Document comprehensive understanding of client financial and operational processes
- Analyze audit results and develop recommendations in accordance with Federal Accounting Standards to improve compliance, effectiveness, efficiency, and accountability
- Compile and analyze financial data, research accounting issues, and document business processes
- Identify and communicate auditing matters to senior associates and managers
- Travel to client sites as required
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
- Ability to obtain Federal Security Clearance
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
