About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential AI infrastructure organization backed by a leading global alternative asset manager. Our client is scaling rapidly and building purpose-built infrastructure platforms designed for performance, sovereignty, and next-generation compute workloads. As they deploy significant capital and expand operations globally, they need a Senior Accountant to own core financial operations and help build the finance function from the ground up.

This is a high-impact role based in London for an experienced accountant who wants real ownership, visibility across the full finance function, and the opportunity to mentor junior team members while shaping how financial operations scale with rapid growth.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end Revenue & AR and Expenses & AP processes, establishing robust controls, driving accuracy, resolving complex queries, and ensuring timely collections and payment approvals
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, reviewing journals, accruals, and management schedules to ensure timely, accurate reporting for all stakeholders
• Oversee revenue billing and reconciliations, managing the complete cycle from billing accuracy to resolution of external discrepancies
• Take ownership of year-end financial statement preparation, including supporting schedules, disclosures, and technical accounting decisions
• Act as primary contact for external auditors, coordinating audit deliverables, resolving technical accounting questions, and driving resolution of audit matters
• Lead the finance and accounting workstream for new global entity setups, navigating multi-jurisdictional complexity and establishing proper financial foundations
• Mentor and review work from junior team members, building their technical skills, quality control, and understanding of accounting approaches
• Collaborate across the broader finance team and business stakeholders, ensuring timely, accurate financial information flows throughout the organization
• Drive continuous improvement in financial controls, accounting processes, and reporting procedures

What We're Looking For

Essential qualifications and experience:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 4-7 years of accounting experience gained in public accounting or industry roles, ideally in multi-entity or international environments
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills with solid understanding of accounting standards and controls
• Strong Excel capabilities and accounting system knowledge with ability to pick up new tools quickly
• Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability with drive to investigate issues thoroughly and own solutions
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Natural mentor who takes pride in developing junior team members
• Strong organization and time management across competing work streams

Valuable additional experience:

• Multi-entity consolidation and group financial reporting
• Modern accounting platforms (Xero, NetSuite, or equivalent)
• Energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industries
• Regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions

Pay
