Group Reporting Manager

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential infrastructure organization backed by institutional capital, operating at the forefront of AI infrastructure development. Our client is scaling rapidly and requires a Group Reporting Manager to build and lead their consolidated financial reporting function from the ground up.

This is a high-visibility role based in London, offering the opportunity to establish world-class reporting processes in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment supported by institutional backing.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the consolidated financial reporting engine, building scalable processes and systems that support rapid business expansion
• Lead month-end and year-end close cycles, consolidating entities across multiple jurisdictions while maintaining audit-ready quality
• Own IFRS consolidation and intercompany accounting, ensuring leadership has clear visibility of group profitability and liquidity
• Collaborate across engineering, operations, HR, and marketing teams to translate financial data into actionable business insights
• Manage external audit relationships, ensuring auditors have confidence in controls and processes
• Build and develop the Group Reporting team, hiring and training finance professionals while establishing a culture of excellence
• Partner across finance and operations to understand business drivers, becoming a strategic advisor beyond reporting
• Support strategic decision-making by translating complex multi-entity transactions into clear financial metrics
• Drive continuous improvement, implementing AI-driven reporting tools and automation to increase speed, accuracy, and scalability

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CPA or equivalent)
• 5+ years of experience in financial reporting, including at least 2 years in IFRS consolidation or group financial reporting
• Strong technical skills with advanced Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to transition to enterprise accounting software
• Clear understanding of complex accounting areas, particularly IFRS 16 lease accounting and IFRS 15 revenue recognition
• Ability to translate between business and accounting, explaining finance concepts to non-finance teams in clear language
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, building relationships with business leaders, external auditors, and finance teams
• Commercial acumen to understand lease negotiations, revenue terms, and deal structures
• Meticulous attention to detail combined with entrepreneurial drive to build efficient processes

Preferred:

• Experience with enterprise accounting software migrations and system implementations
• Knowledge of IFRS 9 derivatives and hedging
• Exposure to energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive businesses
