About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential robotics organization operating in both the USA and Canada. We're seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to oversee complex hardware and software integration projects across their autonomous systems portfolio. This role requires deep technical understanding and exceptional cross-functional coordination skills to drive product development, manufacturing processes, and deployment initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk mitigation strategies for hardware and software projects including feature development, continuous upgrade projects, and new product development
- Lead and coordinate efforts across hardware and software engineering teams, product managers, operations teams, and business stakeholders
- Gather requirements, align priorities, and communicate project status updates effectively across all levels of the organization
- Develop and implement processes that streamline workflows and improve efficiency across mechanical, electrical, embedded, systems, manufacturing, and operations teams
- Help teams set up and execute sprints to effectively prioritize and track work
- Analyze and update existing processes, identifying areas for optimization and continuous improvement
- Coordinate broad communication efforts to keep all teams informed and aligned on project goals
- Create detailed project documentation, including technical specifications, roadmaps, project plans, and status reports to maintain transparency and accountability
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another equivalent engineering discipline
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering program management or technical program management
- 3-5 years of experience with hardware, systems, or autonomous systems development processes
- Proven ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical partners
- Strong track record of managing complex cross-functional projects and shipping product features in a production environment
- Experience building strong working relationships with senior leaders and engineers across functions and departments
- Ability to maintain big-picture focus while providing clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to each appropriate audience
Preferred Qualifications:
- MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another equivalent engineering discipline
- Experience in robotics and autonomous systems, especially those operating in public spaces
- Experience with products that include policy or regulatory aspects
