Role Overview

As a Care Assistant at Home Instead in Taunton, you'll deliver compassionate, person-centred care to elderly and vulnerable service users in their home environments. Working scheduled morning and evening shifts, you'll become a trusted presence in clients' lives, supporting their independence and wellbeing whilst respecting their dignity and personal preferences. Key Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care routines, including washing, dressing, and grooming
• Support medication reminders and ensure clients take prescribed medications as directed
• Prepare meals and light refreshments, accommodating dietary requirements and preferences
• Help with mobility and transferring, using appropriate handling techniques and safety practices
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment and support with light housekeeping tasks
• Provide companionship and emotional support, promoting social engagement and wellbeing
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the Home Instead care team
• Record care activities accurately and report any changes in client health or circumstances
