Technical Sales Manager

About the Role

In this position, you'll own the complete sales cycle for complex, engineering-focused solutions. As a Technical Sales Manager, you'll be the technical expert in client conversations, translating sophisticated capabilities into clear business value. Your expertise will help identify opportunities, build relationships with key decision-makers, and close deals that matter to our clients and our business.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a technical sales pipeline, identifying and qualifying opportunities with new and existing accounts
• Conduct in-depth technical presentations to engineering teams, procurement specialists, and senior executives
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to align solutions with specific client requirements
• Prepare detailed technical proposals, RFP responses, and specification documents
• Negotiate contracts and commercial terms to close deals
• Track sales activity, maintain accurate forecasts, and report on pipeline metrics
• Attend industry conferences and events to generate leads and strengthen market presence
• Work independently in a remote environment while staying connected with internal teams

Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in technical sales, solutions sales, or a closely related field
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering, systems, or technology products and services
• Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation
• Proficiency with CRM software such as Salesforce or similar platforms
• Proven success closing complex, high-value sales cycles
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related discipline
• Comfort working autonomously in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with distributed teams
