Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential e-commerce client in the sustainable energy sector, and our talent team is seeking a Senior SEO Manager to drive organic growth through strategic and operational excellence.

In this role, you will take ownership of the entire SEO function, working at the intersection of traditional search optimization, generative engine optimization (GEO), and AI-powered search platforms. Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing and continuously evolving a comprehensive SEO strategy that identifies new growth opportunities and creates scalable content architectures for sustainable organic traffic
• Advancing technical SEO architecture in collaboration with e-commerce and external IT teams to ensure a stable, scalable foundation
• Expanding organic search visibility across SEO, GEO, and AI search channels, positioning the brand where customers make purchasing decisions today and tomorrow
• Prioritizing SEO initiatives based on data-driven business impact and resource allocation, establishing clear decision-making processes
• Creating synergy between content strategy and SEO by integrating search requirements into content, brand, and creative workflows
• Coordinating cross-functional SEO projects with e-commerce, conversion optimization, and design teams to ensure early SEO integration

What We're Looking For

Our client needs someone who thinks beyond rankings and keywords—someone who sees SEO as a strategic growth channel. The ideal candidate brings:

• Several years of professional SEO experience, ideally within e-commerce or agency environments with strategic responsibility
• Deep expertise in technical SEO, content SEO, and data-driven optimization
• Proven experience developing and implementing sustainable SEO strategies
• Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency with SEO and web analytics tools
• Experience prioritizing complex projects and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
• Structured, self-directed working style with excellent communication skills
• High affinity for data, processes, and continuous improvement
• Familiarity with generative engine optimization and AI-based search systems is a significant advantage

The position is hybrid-based in Achim, Germany, with flexibility for remote work. German language proficiency is required for this role.
