About This Opportunity
We are representing a fast-growing direct-to-consumer eCommerce organization with operations across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and France. Our client is seeking a Senior Online Shop Manager to lead conversion optimization and shop management across their Shopify-based digital properties. This is a hybrid role based in Düsseldorf, working alongside a collaborative team of approximately 20 professionals.
In this position, you'll partner closely with the COO (former Shopify leadership) to ensure an outstanding customer journey across all online touchpoints. You'll leverage quantitative analysis—A/B testing, Google Analytics, UX research—to drive data-informed improvements in collaboration with development and design teams.
Responsibilities
- Drive data-based improvements to user experience in partnership with design and development teams
- Conduct continuous analysis and reporting of eCommerce metrics to identify optimization opportunities
- Develop test hypotheses and execute conversion rate optimization (CRO) initiatives across Shopify-based shops
- Collaborate closely with performance marketing to maximize traffic monetization
- Work in close coordination with the COO to align shop strategy with business objectives
- Manage traffic peaks and ensure shop stability during high-demand periods
What We're Looking For
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Shopify, including management of shops generating seven-figure revenue (minimum)
- Basic proficiency in Shopify's Liquid template language
- Proven experience conducting conversion rate optimization (CRO) and A/B testing
- Demonstrated experience managing traffic peaks and high-volume periods
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
- Experience formulating technical requirements for developers (tickets, Figma specifications, QA reviews)
- Experience using AI tools in conjunction with Shopify operations
- Fluency in German required for this role
