Senior AI Operations Lead

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential educational technology organization that is deploying enterprise AI capabilities across their entire operation. They need a Senior AI Operations Lead to embed with internal teams, build production-ready AI workflows, and drive adoption of AI-assisted work throughout the company.

This is a remote, full-time position based in the United States. You'll report to the Director of Business Operations and work directly with teams across functions to transform how work gets done.

Responsibilities

• Embed with different functional teams to audit current workflows, map repetitive tasks, and identify high-leverage automation opportunities
• Build task-specific agents and automations using Claude, low-code platforms, and integrations with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Asana, HubSpot, and Zendesk
• Transform rough prototypes into production-grade tools with quality gates, evaluation criteria, and review processes that maintain output standards
• Create reusable skills, plugins, and templates that teams can self-serve after your engagement ends
• Coach teammates to AI self-sufficiency by building alongside them and meeting them at their current proficiency level
• Track meaningful outcomes like time saved and quality improvements, present results to leadership, and rotate to the next team engagement
• Maintain and evolve shared assets as AI tools and capabilities advance

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 5+ years of experience in automation, operations tooling, or workflow optimization
• Recent hands-on experience building with LLM tools and low-code/no-code automation platforms (Claude, n8n, Zapier, Make, or similar)
• Demonstrated ability to write and iterate on prompts and evaluate AI output reliability for non-technical users
• Systems thinking skills—you can see a complex manual workflow and immediately identify which steps to automate and how components connect
• Proven ability to embed with non-technical teams, earn trust quickly, and translate pain points into working solutions
• Strong judgment about quality in AI-assisted work and experience building guardrails that maintain standards
• Clear communication skills with the range to meet teammates at any AI proficiency level and move them forward

Preferred:

• Experience deploying enterprise AI assistants across non-technical organizations
• Familiarity with MCP integrations and agent architecture patterns
• Background in change management or internal transformation programs

This role is not: a software engineering position (you won't build infrastructure or ship product code), purely a training role (you teach by building alongside teams), or a research position (you evaluate tools only when it serves an engagement).

Pay

Pay via Get A Job.ai: $110,000 to $150,000 USD annually. Our client standardizes salaries by level regardless of location. Placement within this range is determined by relevant experience and skills demonstrated through the interview process.

This is a full-time, 100% remote position.
