Senior Presales Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential communications technology client in their search for a Senior Presales Engineer based remotely in Mexico. This is a critical technical sales role working with new business and strategic customer segments.

As a Senior Presales Engineer, you will deliver the technical win for complex opportunities, leading pre-sales relationships from discovery through solution design. You'll work independently on low to mid-complexity deals while building comprehensive knowledge of both the technology platform and sales cycle.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives on opportunity qualification, product demonstrations, proof-of-concept projects, RFP responses, design documentation, and technical presentations
• Lead the technical and product sale by recommending best-practice solutions and guiding customers on API usage and integration strategies
• Establish trusted advisor relationships through technical discovery, understanding customer pain points, and designing innovative solutions that address business challenges
• Build and deliver highly interactive, complex product demonstrations that showcase platform capabilities to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Take initiative to identify and resolve customer and internal organizational challenges as the business scales
• Contribute to the broader solutions engineering community through knowledge sharing, demonstration materials, and reusable presentations
• Travel approximately 25% for customer meetings and team collaboration

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of pre-sales experience selling complex technical products, OR 6+ years supporting technical products with customer-facing delivery or consulting experience
• Advanced English communication skills
• Excellent presentation abilities with the capacity to gain audience confidence across multiple organizational levels
• Strong storytelling skills to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
• Ability to understand customer communications requirements and guide them to appropriate technical solutions
• Software development experience or working knowledge in backend languages (Java, C#, Node.js, Python, PHP) or web development (JavaScript, HTML/CSS, React, Vue.js, Angular)
• Experience building with REST APIs
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud application architecture
• Previous experience in telecom, SIP, contact center, or security domains
• Knowledge of sales methodologies
