Senior Salesforce Developer (f/m/x)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential automotive technology client in Berlin who is looking for a Senior Salesforce Developer to join their Inventory team. You will own the Service and Sales Cloud implementation that powers transactions across their platform—building with Apex, Lightning Web Components, Platform Events, and maintaining the critical two-way integration between Salesforce and their core systems.

Location: Berlin, hybrid (3 days office, 2 days remote)

Responsibilities

• Build and customise Service Cloud and Sales Cloud solutions that support end-to-end dealer and buyer workflows
• Own Apex classes, Lightning Web Components and Visualforce pages across the team's technical scope
• Design and maintain bidirectional integration between Salesforce and the core platform using REST APIs, Platform Events, and event-driven flows
• Make architectural decisions on when to use standard configuration (Flows, metadata, permission sets) versus custom development
• Design data models and API integrations that ensure transaction data consistency across systems
• Take ownership of underutilised platform features and systematically reduce technical debt
• Ensure reliability and performance through monitoring, release management and deployment best practices
• Work in agile sprints and contribute to architecture decisions that shape the roadmap

What We're Looking For

Required:

• 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development with Service Cloud and Sales Cloud in production environments
• Deep expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, Aura, Visualforce, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS
• Strong relational data modelling skills with SOQL and SQL
• Solid understanding of event-driven architecture and Salesforce integration patterns—REST APIs and Platform Events
• Clear judgement on when to leverage standard platform capabilities versus building custom solutions
• Experience with release management and scrum frameworks
• Ability to translate technical concepts in business conversations
• English at C1 level, written and spoken
• Active use of AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) in your daily workflow

Nice to Have:

• Salesforce certifications, particularly Platform Developer I or II, or Service Cloud Consultant
• German at B2 level
• Experience mentoring developers and conducting code reviews
