About This Position

As a Mental Health Technician I, you'll provide direct support to clients under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals. You'll help deliver therapeutic services, maintain client records, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment where individuals can work toward their recovery and wellness goals. This role is essential to our mission of expanding access to quality mental health care across Pittsburg County.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living skills, medication reminders, and personal care support as directed by clinical staff
  • Transport clients to appointments and community activities
  • Document client interactions and progress in accordance with state requirements and clinical protocols
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
  • Support therapeutic activities and group programs
  • Respond to client needs and report concerns to supervising clinicians
  • Participate in team meetings and professional development activities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Oklahoma driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Capacity to work effectively with diverse populations
  • Willingness to support clients with empathy and respect
  • Relevant certification or coursework in mental health or human services preferred
