Employee Relations Analyst

Join Lantern Community Services Inc as an Employee Relations Analyst, supporting our workforce across our Chelsea and Clinton locations in Manhattan. About This Position

The Employee Relations Analyst works alongside the Employee Relations Manager to foster a supportive, compliant, and engaged workplace. You'll serve as a bridge between staff and leadership, handling day-to-day HR operations while ensuring all employees receive consistent, fair treatment. This role requires frequent collaboration across our Manhattan sites, so travel among Lantern locations is expected.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Process and coordinate onboarding, offboarding, and personnel documentation for new and departing staff
• Support conflict resolution and employee concerns, documenting interactions and escalating issues appropriately
• Assist with benefits administration, policy distribution, and compliance tracking
• Maintain employee records and HR data systems with accuracy and confidentiality
• Coordinate employee engagement activities and staff recognition programs
• Support compliance with employment laws and company policies across all Lantern locations
• Prepare reports and materials for the Employee Relations Manager and leadership team

What We're Looking For

• 1–3 years of HR experience, employee relations, or equivalent administrative background
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations
• Proficiency with HR databases and Microsoft Office; experience with HRIS systems is a plus
• Solid understanding of employment law, compliance, and HR best practices
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Demonstrated ability to remain neutral and confidential when navigating staff issues
• Commitment to supporting diverse, underserved communities
