Lantern Community Services Inc is seeking a Vice President of Supportive Housing to lead our housing programs across our Chelsea and Clinton locations in Manhattan. This is a full-time, exempt leadership position reporting to the Chief Program Officer.

About the Role

As Vice President of Supportive Housing, you will oversee the strategic direction, operations, and program quality of our supportive housing initiatives. You'll work Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with flexibility for on-call responsibilities as needed. Your leadership will directly impact the lives of vulnerable individuals and families by ensuring access to stable, dignified housing combined with comprehensive support services.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute strategic plans for all supportive housing programs across multiple Manhattan sites
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and operational resources to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency
  • Oversee program quality, resident outcomes, and compliance with funding requirements and regulatory standards
  • Build and maintain relationships with government agencies, funding partners, and community stakeholders
  • Lead staff recruitment, development, and performance management for the housing division
  • Ensure all services align with Lantern's mission to serve individuals experiencing homelessness and housing instability
  • Monitor data, metrics, and outcomes to continuously improve programs and demonstrate impact

What We're Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience in supportive housing, permanent supportive housing (PSH), or similar social services programs
  • Deep understanding of homelessness, housing policy, and evidence-based supportive housing models
  • Strong background in non-profit management, budgeting, and grant administration
  • Excellent skills in staff management, strategic planning, and program development
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders including residents, staff, government, and funders
  • Master's degree in social work, public administration, non-profit management, or related field strongly preferred
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites as needed
