Echo Vascular Technician

Intermountain Health is hiring an Echo Vascular Technician for our Grand Junction facility. This is a full-time position ideal for recent graduates of echocardiography programs or professionals new to cardiac and vascular imaging.

Position Summary

As an Echo Vascular Technician, you'll perform diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies that directly support clinical decision-making and patient care. Working in our cardiovascular department under physician supervision, you'll acquire high-quality images and measurements to identify cardiac and venous abnormalities, contributing essential diagnostic data that guides treatment. This role offers structured mentorship and professional development for those beginning their career in diagnostic cardiac sonography.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform echocardiography and vascular ultrasound examinations using advanced ultrasound equipment
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain exam protocols to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Obtain and document high-quality ultrasound images under clinical supervision
• Communicate findings and technical observations to the cardiologist overseeing your work
• Maintain accurate records and ensure all imaging documentation meets clinical and regulatory standards
• Maintain ultrasound equipment, verifying functionality and image quality
• Adhere to established imaging protocols and quality assurance procedures

What You Bring

• Recent completion of an accredited echocardiography training program or equivalent education
• Understanding of cardiac and vascular anatomy, physiology, and common pathologies
• Strong interpersonal and patient communication abilities
• Demonstrated proficiency with ultrasound equipment operation
• Commitment to accuracy and high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Genuine interest in developing expertise within cardiovascular sonography
• ARDMS certification or active pursuit of sonography credentials preferred
