About the Role

As a System Engineer MCIS (Mission Critical Information Systems), you'll take ownership of enterprise technology infrastructure that directly supports defense operations. Your work will ensure 24/7 system reliability, security compliance, and performance optimization across distributed networks serving federal and military clients. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet rigorous federal standards and keep critical systems online when it matters most.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical systems and network infrastructure
• Perform system administration tasks including user management, security patching, and configuration updates
• Ensure compliance with federal security standards and documentation requirements
• Coordinate with program stakeholders and operations teams to resolve technical issues and implement system enhancements
• Document system configurations, procedures, and performance metrics for operational continuity
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and capacity planning initiatives

What We're Looking For

• Active or ability to obtain a security clearance required
• Demonstrated experience with enterprise system administration and infrastructure management
• Strong knowledge of Windows and/or Linux server environments
• Hands-on experience with network infrastructure and system monitoring tools
• Understanding of federal security requirements and compliance frameworks
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced operational environment
