Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM)

Saab is hiring an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for an on-site role based in Westvale, Onondaga County. This full-time position leads comprehensive cybersecurity operations protecting classified defense programs in a mission-critical environment.

Role Overview

As an Information Systems Security Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of cybersecurity and information systems security for classified programs within a secure defense facility. This role demands hands-on leadership of security architecture, policy implementation, and compliance across complex systems handling sensitive government data. You'll operate in a high-security, mission-focused setting where security decisions directly impact national defense operations.

What You'll Do

• Lead implementation and maintenance of Risk Management Framework (RMF) controls across classified systems
• Establish and enforce defense cybersecurity standards and security protocols for the facility
• Manage COMSEC (communications security) programs and ensure compliance with classified handling procedures
• Conduct security assessments, vulnerability management, and threat analysis
• Develop and execute incident response and security remediation plans
• Serve as the primary liaison with government security personnel and oversight bodies
• Maintain comprehensive security documentation and audit readiness for classified environments

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Risk Management Framework (RMF) and DoD cybersecurity standards
• Deep knowledge of COMSEC, classified systems, and secure information handling
• Professional experience managing cybersecurity programs in defense, government, or classified environments
• Strong technical foundation in systems security, network security, and infrastructure protection
• Ability to work in a high-security clearance environment (current TS/SCI clearance strongly preferred)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities
