Position Summary

We're seeking an experienced Senior Lead Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of full-stack solutions within our Enterprise Platforms Technology organization. You'll take ownership of complex technical challenges, mentor engineers, and influence the strategic direction of platform capabilities that enable business velocity across Capital One.

What You'll Do

• Architect and develop full-stack solutions that serve enterprise customers and internal stakeholders
• Lead design reviews, code quality standards, and technical decision-making for your platform domain
• Mentor and grow engineers on your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence
• Collaborate across teams in a fast-paced, iterative delivery environment to solve high-impact business problems
• Own end-to-end delivery of platform features from conception through production support
• Champion best practices in cloud architecture, microservices, and enterprise system design

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software engineering experience with demonstrated expertise across front-end, back-end, and infrastructure
• Proven track record leading technical teams and mentoring senior engineers
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, distributed systems, and enterprise architecture patterns
• Strong foundation in modern programming languages and full-stack development practices
• Experience building scalable systems that handle high volumes of transactions and users
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills in cross-functional environments
