Line Leader

Join Smurfit Westrock as a Finishing Line Leader at our Ridgeside facility in Hamilton County. This full-time supervisory role offers the opportunity to lead production teams and drive manufacturing excellence across our finishing operations, with flexible shift options on 1st or 2nd shift.

About the Role

As a Finishing Line Leader, you'll take the helm of a production line where quality, safety, and efficiency matter. You'll direct finishing personnel, mentor team members, and coordinate the workflow to meet plant-wide objectives. Your leadership will be instrumental in creating a safe, productive work environment where every team member can succeed and our facility achieves its production targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive new hire training and ongoing development programs for finishing staff
• Oversee cross-training initiatives to build versatile, capable team members
• Conduct follow-up training and performance coaching to reinforce skills and safety practices
• Supervise daily line operations and coordinate workflow to meet production schedules
• Monitor quality standards and ensure adherence to safety protocols throughout the line
• Work toward plant goals in Safety, Quality, Cost, and Productivity
• Address operational challenges and foster continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Proven supervisory or line leadership experience in manufacturing or production environments
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for training and directing diverse teams
• Knowledge of production line operations and manufacturing processes
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet production demands
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to mentor and develop others
