Strategic Communications Coordinator

ICF is hiring a full-time Strategic Communications Coordinator based in Fort Myer, Arlington County. In this role, you'll support the development and execution of strategic communications campaigns that help organizations drive meaningful change and connect with their audiences.

What This Role Involves

As a Strategic Communications Coordinator at ICF, you'll be at the heart of how we create communications that solve real problems. You'll combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, working collaboratively with clients and internal teams to develop messaging frameworks, communications strategies, and content that drive results and build organizational credibility.

What You'll Do

• Support the development and implementation of comprehensive communications strategies for clients across multiple sectors
• Conduct research on industry trends, competitor messaging, and audience insights to inform strategic recommendations
• Draft and edit communications materials including strategy briefs, talking points, fact sheets, web content, and campaign collateral
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure message consistency and timely campaign delivery
• Evaluate communications effectiveness and gather audience feedback to refine messaging and tactics
• Prepare presentations and materials for client review and decision-making

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and contexts
• Experience supporting communications strategy development, campaign planning, or similar communications work
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information and develop actionable insights
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadline-driven deliverables
• Collaborative approach and demonstrated success working effectively in team settings
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and related productivity software; experience with design, publishing, or analytics tools is beneficial
