Packaging Technician D

Royal Oak is hiring a Packaging Technician D at our Ellsinore, Carter County facility. This is a full-time position supporting our core manufacturing operations in the charcoal and fire products industry.

About This Position

As a Packaging Technician D at Royal Oak in Ellsinore, you'll be a key member of our production team, operating and maintaining packaging equipment while ensuring consistent quality, safety, and efficiency. This role is essential to getting our charcoal, manufactured fire logs, fire-building products, and specialty items safely packaged and ready for distribution to retailers and consumers across North America.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor packaging equipment according to established procedures and safety standards
• Inspect packaged products for defects, damage, or non-conformance to quality specifications
• Load, position, and unload materials and finished products efficiently throughout shifts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on the packaging line
• Track production metrics and report equipment issues or concerns to supervisory staff
• Follow all company safety protocols and consistently wear appropriate personal protective equipment
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and demonstrated commitment to product quality
• Ability to lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis
• Basic mathematics skills for tracking counts and measurements
• Willingness to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety procedures
• Experience in manufacturing, packaging, production, or related warehouse environments is a plus
